PCF Announces $250,000 Donation to Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School For New #ConnaughtonCourts
JACKSON, WI – The Pat Connaughton Foundation (PCF), committed to creating access to athletics for the next generation of student-athletes, is proud to announce a $250,000 donation to Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School (KML) for the construction of three new basketball courts, including one feature court and two side courts, set to be completed as part of the school’s broader $14 million facility expansion. The project is expected to serve over 23,000 student-athletes annually through basketball, volleyball, cheer, camps, and other community programming.
The Pat Connaughton Foundation is proud to partner with Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School (KML) as they embark on an exciting new chapter of growth and impact. For over 50 years, KML has been committed to academic excellence and spiritual development, serving 574 students annually across seven counties and 26 school districts with a mission to educate, encourage, and equip young minds for life and eternity.
As KML expands with a $14M, 55,000-square-foot facility, PCF is honored to support the project through the #ConnaughtonCourts initiative. This expansion includes a state-of-the-art gymnasium featuring three courts, a fitness center, and additional learning spaces, ensuring that KML’s growing student body, and the broader community, have access to top-tier athletic and educational facilities.
“KML is excited to partner with PCF and grateful for their game-changing support,” said Dr. Jamie Luehring, President of KML. “By partnering with the Pat Connaughton Foundation, we can achieve our vision of enhancing educational, athletic, and community opportunities for generations to come.
This donation is more than just a gift, it’s an investment in the future of KML students and the broad community that we serve. These courts will serve as a place where teamwork, dedication, and Christ-centered, value-based leadership are built for generations to come. It will be a gathering space for athletics, graduations, and community events where students and families will be inspired toward excellence on and off the court. We are deeply grateful for this incredible blessing.”
The new courts are part of a 55,000-square-foot expansion that includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, additional classrooms, an atrium, a trainer’s room, and enhanced gymnasium facilities. With the school expected to grow to more than 635 students by the 2025–2026 academic year, the additional space will also support increased athletic programs, an intramural program, and spring sports practices, as well as multiple physical education classes held simultaneously.
“This project truly reflects what we strive to achieve at the Pat Connaughton Foundation,” said Abby Beauparlant, Vice President of the Pat Connaughton Foundation. “It’s about creating more than just courts—it’s about building environments where leadership, character, and community can thrive. The partnership with KML is a perfect example of how we can invest in spaces that bring people together and prepare young people to succeed not just in sports, but in life.”
In addition to serving its own high school students, KML operates a robust Jr. Charger program that engages more than 500 K–8 students in cheer, basketball, baseball, football, and softball. The school also welcomes the surrounding community, offering facility use to Special Olympics teams, adult basketball leagues, and club volleyball and basketball teams throughout the region.
The #ConnaughtonCourts at KML will join a growing network of refurbished and donated courts supported by PCF across the world, each one designed to impact student-athletes and community members in meaningful, long-lasting ways.
