ABOUT US

Our Mission

The Pat Connaughton Foundation exists to inspire and motivate young athletes to put their dreams into action—whatever their dreams may be.

Captained by Milwaukee Bucks champion Pat Connaughton, the organization is focused on making a positive impact in the hearts, minds, and futures of young athletes by making the sport of basketball accessible to kids across the world.

Through three keys of Courts, Clinics and Character, PCF offers an unrivaled experience that teaches translatable life skills such as work-ethic, teamwork, leadership, accountability, discipline and how to develop a competitive edge on and off the court. Because basketball is so much more than a game. It’s a way of life.

Core Values

  • 24 Hours; Unlimited Potential

Every person has 24 hours in a day; no one has 25, no one has 23. How you use your 24 hours will dictate the success you’re able to achieve in life.

  • Give back.

Always remember the people and places that helped get you to where you are and the experiences that shaped you. At the PCF, our goal is to provide the next generation with opportunities and life lessons and to always encourage student-athletes to inspire and impact.

Pay it forward through good deeds and selfless acts.

  • Work hard: Stay humble.

A true legend is driven by passion, not ego. Strive for continuous improvement and when your hard work pays off, don’t let the success go to your head.

Our Team

  • PRESIDENT

Pat Connaughton was born and raised in Arlington, Massachusetts. He played sports throughout high school at St. John’s Prep, and went on to play basketball and baseball for the Fighting Irish at Notre Dame. He was drafted onto two major league teams: the Baltimore Orioles (2014) and the Portland Trailblazers (2015). He joined the 2021 NBA Champions the Milwaukee Bucks in 2018 and plays primarily as a shooting guard. Pat founded the Pat Connaughton Foundation in 2016 because he believes in the positive impact sports has on the lives of young athletes. When not on the court, Pat is active in real estate development with his company, Three Leaf Partners. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends back home.

  • VICE PRESIDENT

Abby Beauparlant grew up in Stonington, CT, and earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Endicott College. Abby is a pro multi-tasker, as she is also a full-time mom of twins who participate in hockey, dance, jiu-jitsu, football, and baseball. When she gets rare moments to herself, she enjoys spending them on the beach, in the company of her mom-friends, and with her family.

  • TREASURER

Joe Kirpas grew up in Newburyport, Massachusetts, where he attended St. John’s Prep and played baseball. Afterward, he earned his MBA from Providence College, a degree that serves him well throughout his role as Treasurer for the Pat Connaughton Foundation. Joe has been with the organization since 2016 and believes in its ability to provide young athletes with the same opportunities and positive impact he experienced throughout his childhood. Joe is an avid sports enthusiast who loves attending major sporting events. When not cheering on his favorite team in the stands or at home, you might catch him on the go, as he loves to travel, or settling in with a good book.

  • DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Joe Stanton grew up in Arlington, Massachusetts. He graduated from Fairfield University where he earned a bachelor's degree in finance and economics. An athlete his entire life, Joe played hockey and lacrosse in college, and recognizes the valuable lessons sports has taught him that he’s carried throughout his career of finance, real estate, and philanthropy. Joe oversees the Connaughton Courts division of the Pat Connaughton Foundation. Therefore, he is responsible for reviewing all applications for court refurbishment projects, reviewing budgets and construction documents regarding courts, coordinating with subcontractors, and fundraising in the Milwaukee and Boston markets. Best friends with Pat Connaughton since they were three years old, Joe believes in the foundation’s mission because he knows firsthand Pat’s nature to always put others first. Outside of the organization, Joe enjoys golfing, traveling, watching sports, and spending time with his wife, Erin.
