Milwaukee Bucks player donates court to school
Milwaukee Bucks Guard Pat Connaughton is once again making it easier for young athletes to reach their NBA goals. On Tuesday, Connaughton donated a basketball court to Saint Jude the Apostle School in Wauwatosa. Our Milwaukee affiliate was at the unveiling which is part of the Connaughton's mission to refurbish courts across our area. Connaughton's foundation recently surpassed two million dollars in donations, and there's no end in sight. "To instill a court and allow them to use it every single day, that court's having an impact every single day," said Connaughton. "Those kids are learning not just the sports specific skills but the translatable life skills." Connaughton says sports teach kids lessons that resonate with them long after their playing days are over.
